Top Five Alice in Wonderland Costumes for Kids

If you are looking for the classic Disney look with no extra frills, then I recommend one of the two lovely Alice costumes above. The one at the top of this page, which comes with the blue dress and the white apron, is a very good replica of Alice's iconic costume. The one directly above is my personal favorite, however, with a beautiful shimmery material, tulle frills and a cute pink bow to finish off the look! It's a great option for younger Wonderland fans, in my opinion. Each set of this costume comes with the dress, petticoat and matching headband.

If you want some extra Wonderland themed patterns to make your costume stand out from the rest, I recommend that you choose one of the costumes on the left and right. They are both super cute! The one on the right has a Queen of Hearts motif to add to the standard look, with unusual and eye-catching off-the-shoulder puffy sleeves and an oversized black bow headpiece to finish off the look. Meanwhile the one on the left is going for a more checkers and chess board style with a sweet two layered, stand-out skirt and a more subtle mini-bow headband. They are both wonderful value. I recommend getting some matching white socks to go with them like the two models are wearing. You can find the perfect pair right here.

Does she prefer the costume from the live action Alice movies? Well you can get that in costume form too! Take a look at the elegant and feminine cutie below. I absolutely adore the pattern on the dress as well as the soft and shimmery material. It's so beautiful!

We're all mad here, especially when Halloween come knocking. My Mad Hatter costumes for adults post was pretty popular, so now I'm going to do one for the kids! The primary job of any Mad Hatter costume is to show off your inner creative explosion, with a mix of bright and bold colors and unique, interesting patterns. My favorite of these costumes is the Monster High Madeline Hatter costume at the top of the page - it has a cute 'candy shop' vibe to it that makes it both sweet and crazy to behold.

This costume is rich on accessories as well. You can get the matching wig and headpiece separately here - it looks great paired with most of the other costumes on this page even if the first costume isn't your thing! If you need something thematic in which to store your things, a matching teacup purse is also available here. It's pretty cool!

Next up we have something a little more scene for girls who like to look pretty in pink, with the Disguise Mad Hatter costume above. It's a very striking costume that is sure to make any girl stand out a mile away. Each set of this costume includes the dress with attached petticoat, as well as the matching hat.

If you would prefer something a bit more mature with more gentle and elegant colors, then here are two child's versions of costumes I included in the post for adults - I personally own the Tea Party Princess costume above my self! It's a very beautiful and high quality costume, with shiny material and a unique look. The child's version is not much different! This costume comes with the dress and the cute teacup headband.

Last but not least, featured on the left, is a costume a little more in the style of Johnny Depp's take on the character; more eccentric party host than man who fell in a tumble dryer and put on whatever clothes he came out with. This gorgeous look includes a ton of stuff too, including the tailcoat jacket with attached faux vest, the plaid high-waisted skirt with attached pettiskirt, a pair of glovelettes, spat shoe covers, a bow tie, and the mini-hat.

There are a wide range of Queen of Hearts fancy dress costumes available out there, so I thought I'd help out by narrowing it down to my personal top five. Let's take a look! To start us off, here are two similar costumes roughly based on the iconic Queen of Hearts costume from the original Disney movie. I just love the long skirted ball gown featured at the top of the page - it's so regal and elegant! Each set of this marvellous costume comes with the dress, a petticoat to give the skirt volume, a cute jewelled necklace and the beautiful tiara. For something a little more suited to warmer weather, check out the lovely costume on the right. It's a very bold and colorful number that any little girl is sure to adore. If you are looking for Queen of Hearts costumes for teens and tweens, then don't feel left out as there are some super cute costumes to cater to your needs out there too! Here are my personal two favorites.

If you like your lace and frills, the costume featured above is absolutely perfect, with its eye-catching design. This costume includes the red and black dress, black gloves, white stockings and matching little crown headband.

If that's not quite your thing, take a look at the sweet black, red and white costume on the left. There's a lot of contrast in the colors of this outfit, which makes it really pop. This costume comes with the dress, the heart decorated white leggings and matching glovelettes and the little crown headpiece. These cute shoes by Funtasma would look amazing with this costume as well as the one above.

She's vain, devious, and willing to do whatever it takes to be the most beautiful woman in the kingdom. The costume above is my favorite Queen costume, a slinky and sexy dress with high collar and matching crown. With this costume, you are sure to be the fairest in all the land. Or else.

Ursula (The Little Mermaid)

Ursula, the big bad of The Little Mermaid has my favorite villain song (Poor Unfortunate Souls, check it out!) and is one of the more unique Disney Villains, what with being an octopus and all. The costume above is what inspired me to create this post, because its really awesome - a dress with 3D tentacles emerging from the skirt. Its really eye-catching, and I love it to bits. Big dog lover? I bet you loved Disney's 101 Dalmatians. Cruella de Vil is one scary lady, and she has a very unique and sexy look that you can co-opt into your party costume. You can get the matching wig you see in the picture here. Pick up a black faux cigarette holder to finish off the look. If you want a more modest look with a longer dress skirt, check out this cute costume which comes with the dress, the gloves, a matching wig and the plush white stole.

The Alice in Wonderland movies provide two great royal villainesses to add to the group of femme fatales: The Red Queen (from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, featured on the right) and the Queen of Hearts (the villain of the original Alice in Wonderland movie, featured above). Both fiery, both with a terrible temper, these are two crazy ladies you do not want to cross. They are also a tonne of fun to cosplay as. 

The two regal villains have really cool, recognizable and eye catching outfits which you can tailor to your style: both full length ballgowns and short and sexy versions are available for you to check out.

Here's a really cool group costume idea: Alice and Wonderland. Whether you are a fan of the original Disney movie or Tim Burton's re-imagining (or both!), there's plenty of recognizable and fun characters in the series to give everyone an awesome costume to wear. Get your friends together, pick a character and hit the town. First up, someone has to be the heroine, Alice herself. Check out my top five Alice in Wonderland costumes here.

Here's one of the most famous Wonderland denizens, the elusive and mysterious Cheshire Cat. The dress of the costume above has a sweet matching tail, and you get everything you see in the photo: the stockings, gloves, headband, shrug and choker. I advise picking up a pink petticoat to give the skirt some lift. In addition, here is a really funky pair of shoes that match perfectly!

Last time I went to a fancy dress party, I went as the Mad Hatter, and the costume above is the one I chose! I really recommend it, its super cute. Finally, every Queen needs a card guard. The costume above comes with the card costume and even a matching crown. A cool idea might be to have one girl (like the birthday girl) dress up as one of the queens, and everyone else goes as a guard! Here's another entry in my ongoing series of posts on Alice in Wonderland themed party costumes! The Mad Hatter is one of the most iconic characters from the movies and the book, and there's a whole tonne of cute and sexy Hatter costumes for you to check out, so here are my favorites. Above is the Hatter costume that I personally own, and I love it to bits and highly recommend. Every set comes with everything you see in the picture: the dress, the cape and the cute hat. The skirt can be a little bit flat on its own, so I bought myself a black petticoat to go underneath, and it looks wonderful. Sadly, as my friend pointed out, it has the wrong fraction on the hat, but I didn't mind. Its so silky soft, comfy to wear, super cute and sexy!

On the right is another costume I like, this time with a different pattern and blue/purple color scheme that is really pretty. With this costume you get the dress, the hat, and a cute petticoat to give the skirt some life. I recommend picking up some adorable white thigh highs to match.

Next up is by far the most fantastically colorful Hatter costume on the net, featured up above. With this costume you get the gorgeous multi-color dress with pink handkerchief, a cute pink neck tie and the top hat. You can get a matching petticoat to give the outfit a bit of oomph here.

Want to stay away from the bright colors and go for something a little more sophisticated and demure? Check out the costume on the left: a really elegant and refined take on the look. This costume comes with the jacket, corset, skirt, bow tie, hat and even matching boot toppers, which is cool. I really love the pattern on this costume - it is very beautiful.

Last but not least, featured on the right, is this outfit from California Costumes. I think it invokes a little of the style and color scheme of the Hatter from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, don't you think? I especially like the little yellow necktie, it works very well. Be sure to pick up a petticoat to give the skirt some lift and volume.

Here's another part of my ongoing series of Alice in Wonderland costume guides. This time we'll be looking at how to cosplay as the Red Queen, the sort-of antagonist of the original Disney movie and book. Its an incredibly colorful, eye-catching and recognizable, and makes a great Halloween fancy dress or costume party outfit. Don't forget to yell "Off with their heads!". The first of my favorite Queen of Hearts costume is the one above, an amazing full skirt length gown with soft fabric and a gorgeous heart detail. You also get the pretty choker and the sparkly jeweled tiara crown. The costume even comes with a hoop and petticoat so that the skirt has a lot of volume. Pretty cool!

If short and sexy is your thing, then check out the cute dress on the right. It makes good use of contrasting colors, with bold blacks, yellows and reds, block colors and polka dots, and is sure to make you stand out a mile away in the crowd. This amazing costume includes a sexy lace trimmed crown (which I think is really pretty!) with a heart charm collared dress and matching black and white stripey stockings. Pair it with a white petticoat to add a bit of lift to the skirt.

Here's a very different style of costume, with an all black base with white trimmings and a unique looking half cut skirt. This is a really mature and sexy look! Every set comes with the gorgeous dress, the skirt with the white high collar, and a crown to top it all off. 

Fourth up is a little red number with a very stand-out collar with a very memorable pattern, featured on the right. This costume comes with the cute dress, the choker and the gloves. I advise adding a petticoat in order to give the skirt some lift, and adding some cute black stockings with red bows to finish off the look.

Finally, featured on the left is a colorful red, yellow and black number with a lot of accessories. This costume includes the sexy heart corset, the multicolored dress, the black and red sleeves, a headband, and an over skirt. You can get matching white heart stockings here.

Loved Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland? So did I, that's what has inspired me to make this post detailing how to cosplay as the Red Queen, voiced by Helena Bonham-Carter. Its a colorful, very eye-catching look, plus its fun to run around parties asking who ate all the tarts. Its perfect for Halloween. Lets get going then! Can't be late.

To start of with, you'll need the basic dress. There are two options, the first being a long skirted dress which is most true to the original design, featured above. It comes with a petticoat to give the skirt some lift, so you don't have to worry about that, plus you get a free crown as well.

The second option is a more sassy, sexy and flirty version of the costume with a shorter skirt, featured on the right. This outfit comes with the costume dress, a petticoat to give it some volume, a collar with attached choker, a cute little crown and a pair of white knee high stockings.

Once you've chosen your costume, let me suggest some fun accessories for it. This red royal sceptre goes fantastically with either outfit, as does this pair of red and black shoes by Pleaser. These black baby-doll Mary Janes by Leg Avenue also look great with both costumes.

Once you have the costume down, its time to fluff up your hair and do your makeup. Above is cute Red Queen wig that you can buy to get the look quickly, easily, and without the need to perm and dye the living daylights out of your hair. Meanwhile, below is a fun tutorial on how to achieve the Red Queen's makeup, using Snazaroo Facepaint (White), talcum powder, Urban Decay Eyeshadow (Painkiller), elf Liquid Liner and MAC Lipstick (Red).

I love the Alice in Wonderland look: it is one of the most iconic Disney protagonist designs, and really brings the character to life. This post is going to be looking at my personal favorite Alice costumes, and I hope that you find one you adore! Disguise Unisex - Adult Alice Movie Dress

Before we get started, note that all of these costumes would go very well with this adult Alice in Wonderland wig, as well as these white stockings. It is also wise to pick up a white petticoat in order to give the skirts on these pretty costumes a bit of lift.

Up above is the most standard looking Alice costume, based on the dress worn by Alice in the original Disney movie. It's simple, its cute, its pretty and you can't go wrong with it. Each costume comes with the dress, the hair ribbon and the little matching gloves. There's a few variations that you can get. You can also get another basic Alice dress with a longer hem here, for example.

On the right in a costume based on the costume worn by  Mia Wasikowska in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Its really pretty! Its a more mature and stylized look that does away with the apron, but is still very recognizable as Alice's dress. You can get a short skirted adaptation here that is really attractive.

On the left is yet another pretty short-skirted design without the apron, this time with a sexy cut out that shows off what you've got! I love the checkered pattern and the little bottle and cake detail on the skirt. Its really cute! This one comes with a petticoat, so there is no need to buy one separately, and you also the hair ribbon and some adorable matching gloves.

I've always loved the Rebel Toons series of costumes (check them out, they are very cute!) and now they have added Alice to the series! This shiny, sleek little number is very sexy, and looks incredibly unique.

Last but not least, we have the costume on the right: a snazzy number with an alternative, more gothic color scheme of black and white.  I think the addition of black to the costume really adds style and makes it stand out from the rest, do you? A lot of people recommend getting a size bigger than you'd normally get, as it is a very fitted outfit. If you are going for this cutie, be sure to pick up the matching wig too.
