Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast! Back in the day before all the 3D movies, Belle from Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite of the Disney Princesses. She's smart, independent, and she has a simply gorgeous outfit! This post is going to be looking at how to cosplay as Belle, featuring all of my favorite Beauty and the Beast costumes. Leg Avenue Princess Belle Satin Dress

If you are looking to dress up as Belle after she becomes a princess, complete with her gorgeous yellow ball gown, then here are two costumes you are bound to love. (If not, check out this post further down!

Up above is the one you want to go for if you want to be as true as possible to the source material. It's a spectacular full length ball gown with gorgeous floral and sheer adornments and a voluminous hooped skirt. It looks so pretty!

Meanwhile, if you want something a little shorter, sassier and sexier, then take a look at the lovely Leg Avenue off the shoulder Belle dress featured on the right. Each costume set comes with the soft and shiny satin dress, and the matching pink floral headpiece. You can get some lovely matching satin yellow opera gloves here. You are sure to feel like a princess in this cosplay.

If you liked the shorter skirted costume, you can also get a very cute version of the dress on the right with an interesting asymmetrical skirt here. It comes with four pieces: the dress, back bow, straps, and a matching headpiece.

First of all, you'll need the basic the costume. The most classic look is Miss Piggy in her red ball gown, and you can get the whole set in one go with the amazing costume I've featured at the top of this post. This Muppets cosplay comes with the beautiful red dress, a pair of white ball room gloves, the pearl necklace, and the blond wig with ears and nose.

For all you comic book gals out there who like to get in touch with nature, why not make your next Halloween or costume party cosplay Poison Ivy themed? It's a very cute and sexy look that looks absolutely amazing when you pull it off. This post is going to be look at my favorite Poison Ivy ensembles, so let's get started. First of all, Batman and Robin might have been a terrible movie, but Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy costume in it was pretty sweet looking. California costumes has made a gorgeous replica of the costume, which I have featured above. Each set comes with the beautiful ivy green dress, a cute face mask, a pair of glovelettes, the boot covers, the unique looking ivy print leggings, and a detachable train. That's pretty much everything you could need!

If you want a Poison Ivy costume in a bit of different style, I particularly like the Secret Wishes costume featured on the right. It's really beautiful! Each set of the costume comes with the amazing ivy boa, the frilly costume dress, and the matching pointy glovelettes. You can get the matching tights to go with it here.

Finally, it's time to do your makeup and your hair. Below I've featured a really cool and easy to follow tutorial for doing Poison Ivy themed makeup that will match your costume really well. 

As for the hair, if you already have long red hair, then you are already set, but if not, don't worry! You can pick up a beautiful red haired wig right here. Why not add a little bit of this fake poison ivy garland to your hair in order to add a unique touch?

How to Dress Up as Esmeralda (Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of those seriously underrated Disney movies, despite how excellent it is - probably because as kids all the mature themes and the really deep story line just flew over our heads. Ah well. For those of you out there who appreciate this classic piece of animation, why not dress up as Esmeralda for Halloween? This post is going to show you how to do it. Dreamgirl Pretty and Peasant Ruffled Shirt Costume Accessory

I've been on the hunt for a decent Esmeralda costume out there, but I haven't found one yet that I'm completely happy with. This costume here is ok, but the color scheme isn't quite right and I'm sure we can do better than that! Instead of buying a pre-made costume then, let's put together our own. This is a very easy costume that doesn't require any stitching or skill.

Muka Navy Blue Underbust Corset

First of all, Esmeralda has a puffy sleeved, off the shoulder shirt that she wears as a top. The Dreamgirl Pretty and Peasant Ruffled shirt costume accessory featured above is a pretty good replica for this, so it'll serve as our base.

Next, on top of the shirt covering her waist Esmeralda has a blue underbust corset with yellow stripes - I haven't been able to find one exactly like it, but the blue corset on the right would make an excellent stand-in. If you are up for some crafts, you can paint or stitch yellow lines of fabric to make it as close as possible to the source material.

Last but not least, you will need a long and flowing skirt in a dark shade of purple. I like the bohemian style skirt on the left. For an optional extra, you can add this short coin skirt hip scarf on top. It gives your costume a bit of an extra glimmer and is great if you plan on doing some dancing.

How to Dress Up as Princess Aurora (Disney's Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent)

For all you girls out there who need your beauty sleep, why not go all the way and dress up as Sleeping Beauty for Halloween or your next costume party? There are lots of truly breath-taking costumes for you to choose from, and I'm going to show you some of my favorites, as well as some matching accessories to go with them, right here. Aurora Sleeping Beauty Costume

First of all, there are a number of different looks you can go for if you are dressing up as the original Princess Aurora or Briar Rose from the animated Disney movie (see below if you are looking for the Maleficent look!). If short and sassy is your thing, then you might like to check out the shimmering Sassy Prestige Aurora costume featured at the top of this post. Each set comes with the amazing dress, a petticoat to give the skirt some lift, a pair of glovelettes, a choker, and the matching headband.

If, on the other hand, you want to stay as close as possible to the source material, take a look at the ankle length Sleeping Beauty gown on the right. It's truly gorgeous! You also get a matching choker and the tiara with this cute costume set.

For something that combines the best of both worlds, I'd like to recommend the stunning DreamGirl Sleeping Princess costume on the left, which has a really unique and interesting looking asymmetrical skirt and lovely puffy sheer sleeves. You even get the matching crown headpiece with each set.

You can finish off the look of all three of these beautiful costume with a cute Aurora wig in the style of the original movie's golden locks - you can find a perfect one here!

Disney Maleficient Aurora Coronation Gown Womens Costume deluxe

If you are looking to dress up as Princess Aurora from Maleficent rather than the original, you can achieve the look with amazing golden ball gown costume above. I love the rose pattern on the skirt! This costume comes with both the dress and the beautiful gold leaf wreath headpiece. You can get some beautiful matching sparkling shoes to go with it here.

Top off the costume with the wig on the right if you don't already have long blond hair. If you do, then just style your hair with curls! Pocahontas is, in my opinion, a really underrated Disney movie. It's got a strong female protagonist, breath-taking songs, an important message, and beautiful visuals! That's why I really recommend dressing up as the leading lady, Pocahontas, for your next fancy dress costume party. This post is going to be looking at all of my favorite Pocahontas costumes! First of all, featured above, is California Costumes' Native American Beauty set. It's very true to the source material, a close replica of Pocahontas' unique and stylish look. With each costume set you get the beautiful dress, the matching tassel armband, and the cute boot tops. Here's a lovely blue pointed choker to finish off the look!

Another costume I'm a big fan of is the Pocahontas cosplay above. It's got a bit of extra detail and embellishment that really looks lovely. Each set comes with a super sexy open-backed dress.

If you want a costume with a slightly more conservative skirt length and a beautiful, true-to-the-source material style, take a look at the RG Costumes Pocahontas fancy dress featured on the left. Each set includes the gorgeous native American dress, the blue choker, the brown belt and the matching brown armbands.

Finally, it's time to add the finishing touches by doing your hair and your makeup. If you have long black hair, just part it in the middle and you are done! If not, you can use a wig such as this one to get the same look. Meanwhile, below I've featured an amazing Pocahontas makeup tutorial that will make you look stunning! Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time - great characters, catchy songs, and a lot of wonderful humor that really made it an enjoyable experience. I'm hoping to go as Rapunzel to my next costume party, and above is the costume I'll be using! I'm pretty excited about it. You can get a matching wig for it here too. If you have a bigger budget and want to find the absolute perfect Rapunzel costume for Halloween or your Disney princess costume party, then you can't go wrong with the utterly stunning Rapunzel inspired cosplay ball gown featured above. It comes with its own petticoat, so you will get that lovely lift you see in the photo!

There are also a number of costumes within a lower price range which aim to stick as closely to the dress Rapunzel actually wears in the movie, and they can be really stunning. The closest to the movie dress I've seen is the one on the left, but if your skin tone suit a darker color, the one on the right is what you need!

I never leave a costume off with just the outfit, you have to get the makeup right too. That's why I thought I'd share with you the fun and easy to follow Rapunzel makeup tutorial below that I'll be using.
