Roma Costume Women's 6 Piece Decadent Pirate Diva |
California Costumes Women's South Seas Siren Costume |
I personally like a sort-or Victorian style, steampunk type of pirate, with lots of muted colors and interesting fabrics and textures. There are quite a few costumes that match this description, and here are my two favorites.
Above is the gorgeous two-tier Roma Decadent Pirate Diva costume. The pattern and textures on this gently colored costume are just incredible, and are sure to make any woman look truly stunning and stand out from the crowd. It comes with a real treasure-load of stuff too: each costume comes with the sheer white dress, the incredibly intricate brocade long jacket, the sexy waist cincher, the hat which matches the coat, a belt and even a set of boot cuffs. Pretty good value if you ask me!
I also quite like the California Costumes South Seas Siren costume featured on the right. It has amazing lace material sleeves and a two tiered lace skirt that looks so cute and elegant. She's a real classy pirate queen, I reckon. Each set of this costume comes with the beautiful dress and the matching head-scarf. If you like, you can pick up the matching cutlass she has in the picture right here. Many people who buy this costume like to swap out the headscarf for this cool leatherette hat, so check that out too.

Ruffle Red Pirate Dress |
Next up, we move back to a more classic and nostalgic piratical aesthetic, more Captain Hook than Davy Jones, if you know what I mean. Above are three simply gorgeous red and black costumes for you to take a look at from pro-costume makers California Costumes. Any one of them would be sure to make any woman stand out from the crowd, with their bold colors and slimming stripes.
Rubie's Costume Maria La Fey Pirate Captain |
Roma Costume 2 Piece Pirate Princess Costume |
Want your pirate costume to be stark, minimalistic, bold and maybe even a little gothic? Well fear not as there are quite a few costumes to cater to the more black and white buccaneer tastes out there too: here are three which do just that to whet your whistle.
First of all we have the Maria La Fey costume up above, a very stern and imposing pirate captain costume which immediately tells everyone in the room who be in charge of this vessel. Each set comes with the high-quality white blouse with attached jacket, the matching pants and the hat. If you like the boot covers she is wearing, you can pick those up here too.
Leg Avenue Women's 3 Piece Captain Black Heart |
Meanwhile, standing strong on the right, is the Roma Pirate Princess costume, which almost has a sort of knight-in-shining-armor look to it, with the silver corset style tube dress. It also comes with the jacket, and a full length open-front skirt which can be detached to make it into a mini-dress. Pirates are versatile, after all. You can get the matching boots here, and a similar costume is available here in white.
Asymmetric cut skirts look fantastic on any kind of body-shape, and it's the perfect sexy-conservative combo, so it's no wonder they are so popular. On the left and below are two such costumes with unique and eye-catching cuts that I particularly like. The one on the left comes with a dress, ruffled cuffs and pirate hat, while the one below includes the dress, the detachable sleeves, and the red scarf headpiece.
