We've had a lot of superhero costumes on this blog since it began in 2013, but somehow I have never gotten around to doing a post about the women of the Uncanny X-Men. Well, now it is time to fix that!

Let's start off with one of everyone's favourites, the turbulent and powerful Storm. Above is a replica of her costume from the X-Men movies, a badass looking black jumpsuit with a flowing cape to match. If you like this costume, you can get the wig you see in the picture here, or if you want a more pure white one with black undertones to get the comic look, check out this wig here.

If you are looking for something a little different with a lot of sex appeal, then you might like the revealing catsuit costume on the left. Each set of this cute costume comes with the catsuit, cape, and headpiece. This black and grey ombre wig would look lovely with it too.

Another fan-favourite and frequent X-Men villain is the shape-shifting Mystique. Technically, given she can imitate any human, you're ordinary look would do as a Mystique costume, but I suppose you'd be more recognisable in her 'true form'. A cool blue jumpsuit based on her true look can be found on the left. The matching wig for the costume is available here. Don't forget to pick up some blue face and body paint! Next up, lets look to a very long-time member of the X-Men, the powerful psychic Jean Grey. Jean's had a lot of looks over the years, and quite a few of them are available for you to use in costume form.

If you are a fan of somewhat less heroic Dark Phoenex era of Jean Grey's comic book run, you can find a great replica of her red jumpsuit costume from that storyline on the right. Why not combine it with some fun golden heeled boots?

If you prefer the green version of that outfit, you can find that here. If you weren't blessed with long red hair at birth, then you can finish the outfit off with this lovely long red wig.

If you like her velveteen red suit and overcoat from the movies, that is also available in cosplay form. Check out the beautiful replica on the left, for example, which comes with everything you see in the image. If you don't have hair like Jean's, this is a great wig for finishing off the look.

For those of you who want to keep a good distance between yourself and others, lest you drain away their lives and energy, you're in need of an awesome costume based on the comic book stylings of Rogue. Above is one such bright and colorful spandex jumpsuit with Rogue's signature green and yellow design. You can get a great two tone wig for this costume here.

Last, but not least, one of my favourite super-heroine costumes is that of the deadly Psylocke, an unusual leather-look purple number which has been replicated with the costume on the right. It's pretty cool! Each set of this costume comes with the jumpsuit and vest, the leg covers, gloves, and matching waistbelt. You can find some great licensed makeup here, which includes green cream face paint. To help you out, below is a truly epic makeup tutorial that will teach you how to get that ridge-tattoo look that the character has. The Scarlet Witch has finally ascended to be one of the new Avengers as of Captain America: Civil War, and that means its time for a Scarlet Witch Halloween costume post!

How you go about putting together this costume really depends on your budget. If money is no limit, I definitely recommend going for a custom made Scarlet Witch cosplay outfit like the one above, which comes with the top, pants and fingerless gloves.

If you are on a budget, however, you can make an amazing Scarlet Witch costume out of a short black skater dress like the one on the left and combining it with a burgundy leather jacket like the one on the right. Then, all you need are some knee high leather boots and a long brown wig like the one featured below to finish off the look. Perfect!

They made a Deadpool costume for women! This was a surprise to me, as normally the ladies have to wait years to get a fitting version of superhero costumes, if it ever comes out at all. It looks pretty awesome too! Each set of the above costume comes with the bodysuit and detachable mask. This costume would work really well paired with these dragon ninja katana swords and these Deadpool boot covers. Don't bother bringing guns, you'll just end up leaving them in the car.

If you want a mask which hides your eyes, I would pick up the mask on the right separately. If you want a less shiny bodysuit, then I recommend you check out this unisex version, which has the advantage of a slightly more accurate mask.

With great costumes come great responsibility. That's the quote, right? Well never mind, because it's time for a run down of my top favorite Spiderman costumes for all of you lovely ladies looking to dress up as Spidey for your next trick-or-treating run. There are plenty of amazing Spidergirl costumes out there to choose from, so I've narrowed it down to my top five favorites. Let's take a peek. First up, there are a range of Spidergirl costumes available on the net in a super sexy mini-dress form, with many different styles available, starting with the poofy skirted Spider Classic costume featured above. I love the shiny material on this costume, it give the costume a very glamorous and unique feel! Each set of this costume comes with the dress and the matching white eye mask. I also recommend picking up a blue or red petticoat like this one to ensure the skirt has maximum lift!

Want something a little slinkier and more form-fitting? Well you are going to love the split-skirt mini-dress on the right. It's simply stunning, and would look amazing pair with some killer heels. This dress also comes with the foam mask, so you don't need to worry about anyone discovering your identity. 

Want your costume to be more true to the original Spiderman costume? Then you want a bodysuit style outfit rather than a mini dress. There are plenty of these available too, starting metallic Spidey costume at the top of this post, but my personal favorite is the slightly more revealing Spider-Girl costume on the left. Each costume includes the bodysuit, the glovelettes and a matching eye mask to finish off the look.

If you like the darker color scheme of the new movies, then you might like the cute bodysuit costume by Disguise below, a sexy deep blue and red number that is sure to make any girl look amazing. Halloween is fast approaching, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is as strong as ever. I bet loads of kids are going to be wanting to dress up as their favorite superheroes to go trick-or-treating, but it can be difficult to find decent comic book superhero costumes for girls. That's why I've made this post, to give you a handy guide to all the cute Avengers costumes out there for young girls.

First of all, we have the brave and the bold, patriotic super hero that is Captain America! There is actually a lot of choice when it comes to this hero, so I thought I would just include two of my personal favorites for you to take a look at. Up above we have a lovely piece from Rubies, a bright and shiny blue Captain America dress with a hood in case it rains.

Second, on the right is a lovely costume with a bit of a darker color scheme. Every set comes with the adorable sparkling tutu dress, the winged Captain America eye mask, and a pair of matching red gauntlets.

Regardless of which costume you choose in the end, be sure to finish off the look with a bold Captain America shield. 

Avengers Black Widow Classic Costume

Here's my favorite of the Avengers - the kick-ass former assassin Black Widow. Featured above is an amazing Black Widow costume that any fan is sure to look incredible in and have a lot of fun with! A matching wig for the Black Widow costume is available here. Another popular accessory to go with this outfit is this spy gadget belt. Iron Man II Iron Ironette Avengers Assemble JR Teen (7-9)

He's one of the most popular of the Avengers, despite finding a way to nearly cause the apocalypse every movie, he's Iron Man! Above are two beautiful Iron Man costumes, one for younger girls and another for tweens. Both come with the matching masks too, to complete the look.

Here's a costume that has only become available recently - my attempts to find Thor costumes for girls in the past has never ended in success. It was well worth the wait though, the costume above is very true to the character's look and looks pretty sweet. It comes with both the dress and the headpiece - all you need to finish it off is a hammer!

Sadly there are no more feminine Hulk costumes out there at the moment, but if she's a tomboy I recomment picking up the costume above! It comes with the muscle chest jumpsuit with attached boot tops and the Hulk mask. To finish off the look, why not pick up some hulkish green hand gloves!

Last but not least, on the right we have Hawkeye! Each version of the costume comes with the sleek black jacket with attached shirt-front and pants with attached boot tops. You can get a child's replica of his awesome bow right here.

I absolutely LOVED Marvel's The Avengers, plus all the individual hero movies that came out before it, and I can't wait for the second one to come out. This blog post is dedicated to all my fellow lady geeks and nerds who want a cool group costume idea for themselves and their friends to try out: why not dress up as the Avengers? This post is going to feature all the best Avengers costumes, just for you!

First of all, there's the patriotic Captain America. You can get a shiny vinyl jumpsuit like his, featured above, but there's other styles if that isn't your thing. For example, here's a cute dress version of the costume. Which ever you choose, don't forget to pick up Captain America's iconic stars and stripes shield, as most of the costumes don't come with one.

Second, we have my personal favorite of the Avengers: Iron Man. Marvel has released a shiny jumpsuit version of his suit as well, which you can see on the right. You can pick up the matching helmet which goes with it here. A cute and sexy dress version of the costume is also available. Also, because why not, here's a replica wrist repulsor. Have fun!

Next up is Black Widow, the femme fatale. Above is the officially licensed Marvel costume, which comes with pretty much everything you could ever need: a jumpsuit, two belts, a pair of glovettes, a pair of cuffs and a pair of boot covers. The only thing missing is the matching wig, which luckily you can pick up here.

Finally, check out this female adaptation of the Thor costume. It comes with the dress and the headpiece, and you can pick up the matching hammer here.

Miss Hulk Costume

After a lot of waiting around for Marvel to release Hulk and Hawkeye costumes for women, we finally have some results! On the left is a stunning 'Miss Hulk' costume for all you ladies who want to go out and cause some carnage. Be sure to go all the way with some green body paint!

Meanwhile, below is a seller who makes custom Hawkeye costumes to your measurements, for both men and women. It's pricey, but its super authentic and realistic. Each set of this amazing cosplay includes the vest and pants with belt, matching gloves, a bracer, and a quiver.
